Job Summary
The accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial information for decision-making for all business interests of the group of companies and business interests owned and operated by the directors.

The accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial information for decision-making for all business interests of the group of companies and business interests owned and operated by the directors.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general accounts.
- Record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and assets.
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of financial documents and receipts.
- Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements,
- on a regular basis (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Generate various financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to help management make informed decisions.
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of budgets.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections to assist with long-term planning.
- Identify and communicate budget variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities.
- Facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial fraud.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to management for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, or other financial strategies.
- Utilize financial software and tools to streamline accounting processes and enhance accuracy.
- Stay current with advancements in accounting software and technology.
- Ensure financial practices and reporting adhere to relevant accounting standards and ethical guidelines.
- Promote ethical conduct in financial decision-making.
- Collaborate with colleagues in different departments to gather financial information and provide
- support.
- Communicate financial information and insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and
- understandable manner.
- Manage the accounting and administrative department staff (between 5 and 7 people at any given time)
- Advise and guide accounting and administrative procedures in 3 branches
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ethical and trustworthy conduct.
