Job Responsibilities:
ADMINISTRATION
Compliance
- Keep abreast of new regulations and reforms affecting the financial services sector
- Review and maintain KYC procedure for the team in accordance with company policy
- Manage collection and review of new customer due diligence packages
- Conduct all compliance and legal communication for the Unit’s new business and current accounts
- Analyze client transactional activity and report any suspicious activity to VP, BDU
- Ensure that monitoring measures are satisfied in a timely manner and in accordance with risk assessments and client relationship management plans
- Identifying and closing gaps that may exist with the Unit’s Compliance activity
Transactional
- Conduct all Trade Finance transactions for select clients as required via entry to ACCESS and all other associated manual processes
- Conduct industry and client research prior to scheduled meetings in support of business development activity
- Follow appropriate network filing and make guided improvements where necessary
- Develop and maintain the unit’s various client trackers
- Provide both quantitative and qualitative quarterly reports on client activity
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Develop and maintain understanding of customer base to deepen current client relationships through company’s website, live chat and scheduled facetime to learn more about what they want
- Treat with customer concerns through active listening, empathy and guided assistance to offer solutions when required
- Perform as key contact for selected client relationships
- Ensure top level service is provided to clients at all times
- Provide transaction quotes to clients as necessary
- Manage internal relationships in order to effectively serve clients
- Proactively keep clients informed on the status of their transactions
- Respond to queries or requests for information within the set timelines
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Grow the existing client base by conducting research and following up on referrals through the VP, BDU to determine suitable new business prospects in keeping with the criteria set by the unit
GENERAL
- Actively participate in team building and divisional project exercises as they arise.
- Ensuring risk perspective, due diligence, due process, due regard, duty of care, return on time, quality assurance and compliance guides all actions.
- Contributes positively to ensure that KCL’s overall strategic business plan targets are met
- Projects a favourable and professional image at all times, maintaining loyalty and respect for KCL
- Providing superior quality customer service by being proactive and anticipating client needs to ensure that KCL’s client expectations are exceeded
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Management, Finance or related field
- 3 years’ working experience in related position
- A background in credit analysis would be an asset

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- General knowledge of financial products
