Job Summary

The HSE Analyst main role is to contribute to development and maintenance of a safe, and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring HSSE related activities to continuously improve HSSE. This includes managing HSE administrative processes, identifying training needs, designing and conducting training and effectively using a range of HSE tools and processes to implement HSE programs and drive compliance. To design, develop and implement innovative site-level activities to improve HSE. To drive site-level identification, implementation and monitoring of critical controls.

Job Scope

The position of HSE Analyst oversees Company 's HSE programs, HSE related training, and monitors and advises on HSE related standards and legislation on the national and international level as they impact operations of the facility. Contributory functions include the scheduling and conduct of HSE meetings, inspections, audits, training etc.

Job Duties

  • Develops and monitors, with the input of other departments, the HSE Management System and associated the processes
  • Supports implementation and maintenance of HSE related risk assessment, control and management processes in normal and shutdown operations
  • Manages human and organizational performance programs – example STOP
  • Advises on and supports the coordination of risk based health, safety, security and environmental training
  • Co-ordinates internal and external HSE related inspections and audits.
  • Supports the incident investigation management process including development and analysis of incident trending
  • Compiles and reports on HSE related performance including, key performance indicators.
  • Develops and implements processes for knowledge collection and management to
  • enable positive HSE outcomes. Example STOP, Leadership Interventions , HSSE Committee etc
  • Monitors national and international regulations pertaining to safety and recommends any changes deemed necessary.
  • Communicates, engages with and influences decision makers and other stakeholders to mitigate risk and optimize worker health and safety.
  • Develops and implements in coordination with other departments the Emergency Response and Safety Equipment management
  • Develops and supports key third party HSE processes – Contractor and Supplier Management; Contractor HSE Quarterly meetings etc
  • Promotes and applies professional and ethical standards to practice
  • Actively participates in HSE Committee meetings and activities
  • Collect and interpret data related to health and safety accidents and risks to develop safety and compliance plans
  • Report incidents to insurance carriers
  • Assist in filing workers’ compensation claims
  • Maintain OSHA records
  • Provide support to field organizations in complying with safety requirements

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree from a recognized institution in a related discipline (Safety, Environmental and Natural Resources) and seven (7) years’ experience in HSE operations in a Petrochemical Plant; or related industry.

AND

  • Certified Safety Professional; or CMIOSH, or TECHIOSH,
  • Computer Literacy – Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Visio
  • Training in Environmental Management;

Salary
15,000 - 18,000 (TTD)
