Reviews of Optometrists Today - Port of Spain

The first time I used Optometrist Today was two years ago. I felt special when i was called to come in to do a check up on my eyes this September. However about two weeks after, I realized that i was not seeing properly in my right eye although I was told that there was a very small change in the lens. I looked at my glasses and found it looked dirty, so with the cleaning cloth given to me by the company, I cleaned my glasses as I always did. However what I saw after floored me. There was a 'film' on the lenses which was peeing off. Today i eventually took the glasses back to the company in Trincity only to be told that this does happen but that the warranty on this 'peeling' was only for a year and I would have to pay to have it replaced. Now I have been using spectacles for years and have NEVER had this problem nor have I ever met anyone who has had this problem. I am totally confused as I am unable to see properly. In addition, the frame started peeling in the middle (the section that joins the two 'eyes'). The optometrists saw this when i went to check my eyes and asked me if i left the glasses in the sun.... So even the frames that I chose were of poor quality and may I add very heavy. Even the knob that rests on my nose in my reading glasses, one side has broken off (so i have two spectacles of poor quality which I purchased from this Company. Maybe it's just my choice but I told the Optometrist at Trincity that I won't be returning to their company neither would I recommend anyone to conduct business there. Totally disappointed. Maybe whatever was used on my lenses to clean them or how they were cleaned may have been done so deliberately to get me to change the lenses and at the moment since I had asked about bringing in my own spectacles and have them put in the lenses since I was not pleased with the product the frames that I had gotten from them. Unless, I can get justice for this terrible job, there is no way that I shall be returning to this Company.
