Reports to the Board of Directors.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will have direct ongoing daily operational responsibility for programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. The CEO will be required to develop deep knowledge of field and core programs, operations, and business plans in tandem to achieve the road map objectives developed by the President and Executive Board.

Responsibilities of the CEO

Management:

  • Ensure ongoing programme excellence, rigorous program evaluation, consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; to recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
  • Actively engage and energize staff, volunteers, board members, event committees, partnering organizations, and funders.
  • To support the Board of Directors; serve as a team lead of each committee; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing operations as well as for the national rollout of sponsored programmes.
  • To develop, maintain and effectively coordinate an event calendar schedule with the core focus of raising funds to ensure and maintain the financial integrity of the organization.
  • Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress and regularly evaluate program components so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • To ensure a harmonious work ethic of staff including the Admin Assistants and ICT Officer to achieve the objectives outlined in this section.

Communication and Funding:

  • Expand upon the revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and new programme expansions.
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
  • Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.

New Business Development and Planning:

  • To develop, maintain and recruit relationships between supply, distribution and retail partners
  • Design expansion opportunities and complete the strategic business planning process for programme expansions
  • Begin to build partnerships , establishing relationships with the funders including community partners at each expansion goalpost.
To support the company presence that publishes and communicates program results to increase the company brand awareness and appeal.
