Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Duration: Contract period is based on the client's need.
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our pool for Office Assistant / Kitchen Assistant. This role will involve providing support to the office operations as well as assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen area. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Office Assistance:
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and processing packages.
- Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings as needed.
- Handle basic clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
Kitchen Assistance:
- Assist in setup for office events, meetings, and gatherings.
- Ensure the kitchen area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
- Monitor and replenish kitchen inventory including snacks, beverages, and other consumables.
- Adhere to health and safety standards in food handling and kitchen cleanliness
General Support:
- Provide relief support to the Receptionist as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
- Three – Five O’Levels would be an asset.
- Must be computer literate
- Proven experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities as needed.
Schedule:
- This is a part-time position, when required.
- Days of work: Monday to Friday.
- Hours of work: 8:00am to 4:30pm.
